Maternity B.V.M. School develops the whole child through an academically rigorous environment and a safe, loving community rooted in the Catholic faith.
Maternity B.V.M. School creates an atmosphere in which students can develop their potential, growth, independence and knowledge. We also promote the responsibility to be critical thinkers, agents of change, and active conscientious members of our multi-cultural society.
As a Catholic Christian community we provide religious instruction in conjunction with practical living experiences. Consequently, students will understand how to live their lives with concern and respect in accordance to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We believe that the students of Maternity B.V.M. are unique individuals who approach learning through various cultural backgrounds, modes of development, and natural abilities. Class participation, class work and quality homework will enable the students to reach desired levels of achievement.
As an academic community, we believe that the curriculum is practical for the school and the culture of our students. In addition, consistency and flexibility of the curriculum are clear to teachers, students and parents. Teachers utilize methods to impart knowledge and make our children feel safe. The teachers promote open communication, provide for individual differences, and are positive role models.
Students’ responsibilities will encompass a range of skills and experiences necessary for success. The students’ role entails a sense of responsibility and understanding compiled with respect for peers, faculty and themselves. Self-reliance and independent thinking are goals that will promote productive citizens in our church and society.
Maternity B.V.M. School is a vital unit of the Maternity B.V.M. Parish family. We provide a safe and peaceful atmosphere in a world of conflict. We strive to achieve Parish goals in accordance to the needs of our students’ individuality.
